Ever apply for insurance and wonder why you might have been knocked back?

Every time we apply for insurance, the provider of the insurance contract will run a check on us with an agency to ensure we have a good insurance history.

It’s possible that there is something on your Insurance File which is preventing your policy approval. For example, if you've been knocked back for health insurance, it might be because a previous insurer has listed that you suffer from a condition which the new insurer is unwilling to insure you for. It’s always possible also for insurers to incorrectly report a default or some other erroneous information to your file.

If you would like to know, you can obtain a copy of your insurance file for free. If you have found an error upon it, you can always seek to have this rectified so that your file can be clean again.

Requests for insurance files will be actioned within 10 business days of receipt.

Requests need to be made to:

Veda Advantage Public Access
PO Box 964
North Sydney NSW 2059

OR FAX: 02 9278 7333

To obtain your file you will need to provide them with following:
